Walking on Grass

A 5-Minute Golf Course Meditation

For use between holes or during quiet moments on the course

I of IV

Centering

30 seconds

As you walk or stand on this course, take a moment to notice where you are.

Feel the grass beneath your feet. Notice the landscape around you — the fairways, trees, and sky. Let yourself be present in this beautiful outdoor space.

Scripture Reflection

1 minute

"A voice says, 'Cry!' And I say, 'What shall I cry?' All people are like grass; all their glory is like the flowers of the field. The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God will endure forever."
Isaiah 40:6–8

Look down at the grass you're standing on. Consider how it's carefully tended, yet temporary. Notice any flowers or seasonal beauty around you.

Sensory Awareness

1–2 minutes

Take a moment to connect with this environment:

Reflection & Closing Prayer

2–3 minutes

As you continue your round, consider:

Closing Prayer
Creator God, we thank you for this time outdoors, for the beauty of this created space, and for the reminder that while much in life is temporary, your divine love and truth endure. As we walk on grass that withers and see flowers that fade, help us remember what stands forever. May we carry this awareness with us as we continue to play and in all areas of our lives. Amen.

Go in peace.

The grass endures your steps today. It has been doing so for longer than you know. Take that patience with you into the rest of the round.
